💡 About This Video:
Here are the 3 worst ingredients in dog food. And they all happen to be in this Purina ONE Natural SmartBlend Chicken & Rice Formula Dry Dog Food. And if you're not following me already, I'm Jaron Lukas, the author of The Canine Cocomega Effect.
1. Corn Gluten Meal. Even though it is slightly different from wheat gluten, it's molecularly very similar, so it likely has very similar effects in terms of gut permeability. 2. Whole Grain Corn. There is no reason for dogs to be eating corn . It's just a bunch of high carbohydrate fillers without very much nutrition. Definitely not anything remotely similar to what dogs ate in their ancestral diet. 3. Soybean Meal. This again is just a cheap filler ingredient that has a very negative type of protein, so it will make the food look like it has higher protein and it's high in estrogen, which is going to have negative health benefits over the long.
What do you think of the ingredients in this Purina recipe, and why do you think so many people feed this to their dog?
