Hisense U7N Mini LED Review - Good Value For Money TV?

Показать описание
In this in-depth TV review, we take a closer look at the Hisense U7N to see if it's worth the investment. Watch to find out if this TV offers good value for money!
The Hisense U7N has very good performance within its market segment and is best suited to rooms with ambient light. It is not a TV designed for critical movie watching in the dark, but for all other uses, it offers excellent features and image quality for those looking for a living room workhorse.

In terms of features, the U7N has you well covered with all current HDR formats supported including Dolby Vision IQ. There are also two HDMI 2.1 (48Gbps) inputs for gamers with support for 144Hz VRR, Game Pro Mode and AMD Freesync compatibility along with the latest Mini LED Pro backlight, updated Hi-View Engine Pro processor with advanced AI and a Freely tuner built-in.

The Hisense U7N offers bright and vivid images for the typical living room as well as a good degree of accuracy to greyscale and colour, along with excellent gaming features, HDR support and its VIDAA smart TV system and will appeal to the mass market audience. It is a little expensive when compared to the direct competition, but I still think it is good value for money in the right use case and as such it comes recommended.

The problem with this TV (at least in the UK) is its price, being £1, 600 for the 65 inch when the TCL c855 retails at £1, 249 and has more dimming zones and Google TV makes it a tough sell.

I've been watching U7N reviews all day and I'm pretty sure I'm ready to buy one, but one thing I've noticed is that this UK version comes with a different remote than the North American one. Not a dealbreaker. but the UK one seems a little more complete.

Hi Phil.... thank you for the review... always helpful. Hisense TVs have strange issue with ARC/eARC out that sound keeps on becoming garbled/distorted for few seconds continuously. I am one of the user and worked with Hisense support without any resolution yet. Have you tested ARC/eARC out to an AVR for half an hr or so and seen the same issue? Many have reported this on reddit as well.

Just brought the 55inch for £720 !!!! Seems decent for that money, last years was £589, i figured for £130 the upgrade would be worth it

Good review. I'm getting this tv in a few days coming from a 55inch tcl s4 from 2019. It seems very ovepriced in the UK as here its only $1000 for the 65 inch in Canada.

Whoa! We actually have a legit review. These are a rare bird so far in 2024. Just one criticism, the 75” model probably has an ADS panel and will perform a bit differently from the VA panels.

If Hisense can solve their reliability problems they will sell a boatload of TVs.

at what point does a poor factory calibration warrant a replacement unit? I have a new LG G2 and I find SDR to look far too dark in most cases, even if I bump the gamma to 2.2 it still looks dark. Additionally, HDR is far too blue especially in the lowest shades, which are also quite lifted, making dark scenes in HDR look washed out and foggy, obscuring the details and making viewing quite unpleasant and difficult. I am using your recommended settings for the G2, I always target accuracy where possible. I realise that a professional calibration would most likely solve these issues, but it seems wrong to require a calibration just to make the picture pleasant to watch on such an expensive TV. I have requested a repair from LG, but it is difficult to convey the problems I am having especially when their recommendations are "use the standard picture mode for real colours", or, "perform a pixel refresh 5 times".

You Brits must have different stuff, because my 65 U7N doesn't have that solar remote, and it costs a lot less. I just paid a little over $900, tax included.

Ridiculous!!!! No one should Buy ANY TV that is Not a Good Value for the Money!!!!

Calling Hisense and TCL TV'S "Value Brands" is Nonsense!!!! They are Outstanding TV'S that are Not Overrated and Overpriced like SONY, LG, and SAMSUNG TV'S.
