PS4 CUH 1200 Disc Drive Noise Update (Just Swapped Out)

just swapped out my consoles to see whether or not this new console will make the buzzing noise from the disc drive please comment and share your thoughts

hi this sound seems to be present in all cuh 12XXX ps4 i live in french and some people are speaking about it on playstation website

Do you get a high pitched beeping on your new model when you are going through the top menu? Its not fan noise, its the hard drive. You might need to listen carefully when you are going through menu. It's quite noticeable on mine, but its only when I go through the menu so im not worried about it.

I have the 1216b and it makes this noise, I've sent it to PS repair once already and its still doing it. Is this normal? I dont know.

try moving the console a little bit farther/put more distance between the wall and the ps4

Mine makes the same noise when I'm playing destiny . I have the same model .
