How to Replace a PS4 1215 Disc Drive (1200 Series)

This is a video quickly explaining how to replace the disc drive (optical drive) in a Playstation 4 cuh-1215a model, or a 1200 series.

This model of PS4 is different from the 1100 series, which is built differently and has a different disassembly method. It is easier to replace the disc drive on a 1200 model. Be sure you have the right model before following these steps

If your PS4 ejects or accepts discs slowly, or does not properly read discs, you may need to repair your PS4’s disc drive or replace it as shown.
