PS4 CUH-1200 Disk Drive Disassembly & Reassembly

A very detailed, IMO, video on stripping down and putting back together a disk drive CUH-1200 model, mine specifically was a CUH-1215A. Please excuse my camera angle! if anybody can recommend me a great tripod for recording that will hold my S10+ that uses an otterbox defender, thanks! Enjoy :)

Bruh you saved my PS4 my 3 year old shoved a Nintendo switch game card in my disc drive and this helped me extract it thank you for saving me hundreds of $’s!!! You the man!!!

i installed a new drive in a ps4, then found i needed to change the board, i swap the boards out and then reinstalled and now when i insert a disc it wont let the disc come in like its not getting any power to it, is there anything i need to doublecheck on this, and how will i know i have the skinny ribbon from the disk motor all the way in

You put it back together wrong champ, that side piece that pops the door open needs to be in the back position and that swivel pieces with the lock slots into the little cutout in it :)

Did everything you did with 100% accuracy now the door on the disc drive is shut....

Wrong assembly. Beware you will waste a lot of time because of this. The lever that pops the door open must be backwards and you get the idea.
