The Lord commanded Noah to build an ark in which his family and “every living thing of all flesh” (Genesis 6:19) were saved from the Flood. Floodwater destroyed the wicked and all creatures that lived on the land except those in the ark. When the floodwater receded, Noah and his family exited the ark.

Rather only Noah's family was genetically pure but not do much for the three wives of Noah's sons having them corrupted genes which just reappeared down the lines within their lineage
That is a more plausible explanation than assuming what he did as the punishment was said by angels to be so severe that no one would ever dare to attempt doing it again
