interesting little fact, if you go to the second altar of light in Rauh first, the sword will be there, and then you would go to the other place marked that is blocked by the furnace giant to upgrade the sword into the sword of light

You can also convert the Sword of Darkness into the Sword of light. I found the Stone Sheath sword in the Foglight Catacombs, turned it unto Dark at the Alter of Darkness in Unte, then converted later to Light at the Alter of Light in Rauh.

IMPORTANT: If you turn your sword dark, you can go back to the Rauh Ancient Ruins altar and turn it back to light! Meaning you can have any sword at any time (tho turning it into dark again is a bit of a hassle lol)

FYI for those who are confused: the 3 altars where you recieve/use the sword are interchangeable depending on where you picked up the sword. Personally, I got the sword from the altar in the Ancient Ruins of Rauh, but I've heard other ppl got it from the altar in the catacombs.
From what I can tell, it seems like the first altar you visit will always have the sword, then the next one you find will be the altar of light, and finally, the dark altar will be the 3rd altar you find.

I had to turn my sword of light into dark back at the place where you picked up the stone sword because i originally picked it up from the dungeon, but wild haha

You can use the altar where you picked up the sword to get the sword of light if you already have a different stone sword (idk where I got it from). I’m following along and there was no sword for me after throwing the pot into the wicker guy, but the altar was lit up and it gave me the sword of light

You don’t need to “convert” the sword of light like he says here if you want the sword of dark. Just take the stone sword to the dark altar directly. No need to run to the late game area first.

So i actually found out today because i did it on accident, but you can skip basically the entire crafting part of this quest involving the pots. I went to ruins of unte, and around the back of the building i used torrent to parkour up the wall, it gave me the stone sword and i took it to ruah and got the sword of light. I think imma keep the sword of light though for the boost to holy plus its cool being a disco ball lol

It all depends on where you find it but knowing all the spots to go definitely helps i found mine in the fog catacombs and turned it to the sword of darkness behind the furnace guy

I got this stone sword from fog rift catacombs? Can you get two of these swords or does one not appear at the watering hole if you find it at the fog rift catacombs instead?

if u go to the light alter before getting the stone sheathed weapon, u can find another stone sword laying there. so u can have 2 of them

edit: i went back for the 2nd spot and couldnt find another sword, so if u find one at either spots the other will disappear xd.

i already completed the fog rift catacombs before i got the stone sheathed sword. i didnt know what this altar was for. i just went back with the sword and the altar is eead. nothing here. so now what do i do? So if i give my sword of light to my buddy can i then take a second stone sheathed sword and get the sword of darkness?
