The lack of cutscenes and dialog from the bosses kinda sucks. They would have memed themselves into memory like Malenia blade of Miquella after killing ppl millions of times.

There's an interesting detail about the Ancient Dragon Florissax Ashes, where she uses Dragon Claw incantation, but it's imbued with ancient dragon lightning. Another interesting fact is that she's the only Spirit Ashes that has voice lines when you summon her in combat.

Use mimic veil, assassin's gambit or unseen form to sneak past the death blight eyes. And you can kill them with either destined death or Fias mist.

I put a fire infused Milady in my right hand and twin swords (Rellana's) in my left hand. I get the dual-weild move set for the light greatswords and have both weapons fire affinity which is easy to buff/scale. You can use any other weapon in the right hand and it will change the move set, but you'll always get the fire sword in the left hand but only when Rellana's twin swords are equipped in the left hand. very cool, cheers 🍻

There could be some truth to your previous theory on how the Divine Bridge in Leyndell Royal Capital may have been connected to the broken bridge of the Ancient Ruins of Rauh. Apart from sharing the guard golems, you can find a body that drops a Stormhawk Axe, lying in the courtyard right outside the elevator connecting the Divine Bridge to the Fortified Manor.

The description of the axe said it is the signature weapon of warriors who strive to remain one with the storm, despite being so far from their place of birth. The Divine Beast Dancing Lion and Horned Warriors use storm elements as their attacks, it's possible the Stormhawk Axe originated from the same culture too. The location of the axe shows the warrior may have traveled to Leyndell using the bridge before Marika cut off access to the Land of Shadow.

Two things I want answers to among many, many others. What is the Two Fingers gesture for? And second, after you combine Jolan with her sister as a duo spirit ashe. Why can you talk to the Anna puppet again and disconnect them and rejoin them over and over? Why would you just want Jolan if you could have Jolan and Anna? If you encounter Anna under Ymir's chair then talk to Jolan she gives dialogue about it, then tells you she's sworn to Ymir and not to talk to her about it again. I feel like there might be a secret questline to reveal more about Jolan and maybe disconnect her loyalty to Ymir after doing certain encounters and dialogue. She's a sword hand of night, but nothing is explained about that and what night means in the world. Ymir was carian, then finger focused. Not night. And if Anna was his puppet, then he has been manipulating Jolan all her life to make her what she is.

All the weapons with “weird scaling” are for high level players. My characters are all 300-500 and rellanas swords are one of the best weapons. Once you go past 300 most of the weapons that are considered meta for pvp are useless trash. You got to remember this is a single player game first pvp is a bonus. Single scaling even at S when high lvl are pretty useless so I’m happy that we got some new weapons with good high lvl scaling. Rellans swords may suck for pvp but I’m eating good.

Would've been better if Rellana's swords were literally just 2 separate swords. Its not like they're chained together.

I ran Rellana's in my left hand and a Flame Art Milady in my main hand for most of my first run through the dlc. I wanted the dual wield moveset but wanted to have Wing Stance on my ash so pairing the two fire damage was great. Reduced the need to invest in Int since I wasn't using the magic sword, and I still had access to the awesome spinning fire ash on Rellana's just by two handing the left hand set. It was a really versatile setup I enjoyed.

Its just sitting there infront of the tree like its a secret there besides the fragments could we possibly be missing something and we can go into the tree if we lite the chalice or a secret door hidden

If you use shoulder bash incantation then use the porcupine break dance it will break your spine

Also nanya torch ash while crouched walking and running will be funny

Just use the golden epitaph ash of war then follow with the poison perfume bottle and your character freaks out

I like using Rellana's twin blade with the Milady on my right hand, and adding the bloodhound step skill with cold affinity, making the combination of Ice and Fire which can get pretty crazy!

If you use phantom slash then switch to the obsidian lambia, it will do successive phantom slashes for every hit of the lambia's combo

I did my first run, NG+7, level 250, with rellanas twin blades, 55 faith int strength, 50 dex +5 from millicents, was super fun although massively challenging
The rellanas twin blade have unique scaling where everything hits its soft cap at 55 so if anyone is looking for a level 250 ng+ build I fully recommend this, you can easily have 60 points in vigor and still hit all the caps, however once you get ng+3 or higher 60 vigour will not let you survive any grab

Still recommend, did the whole ng+7 play through with just them apart from midra who I uses blood tax because he has so much fucking health

If you don’t have enough int but do have dex, strength, and faith, you can still use Rallana’s fire sword. I paired it with a cold infused Milady. I just wish it was as long as her magic sword.

I should try to mess with Blood Tax on the Carian Thrusting Shield (for swag) and Rellana's blades. Seems like a fun run.

Great video as always. Just wanted to comment that the symbol on the shield you are talking about at 10:45 does indeed represent the crucible as you surmise. There are a few more references to this design in the DLC. Also Midra's staff isn't unrelated, the staff he used was impaled in him by the Hornsent as a cruel means of eternal torture for his interest in the Frenzied Flame. The Hornsent worship the crucible (the source of power for their gifts, i.e. powers and horny deformations), hence all the spiral architecture in the game, especially Enir-Ilim (literally designed as a spiral structure reaching up to the gods), and the spiral incantations, such as the one description that the spiral represents the crucible current reaching up to the gods or however it's worded.

Ayy, my mention about Ongbal get noticed. You guys can come and watch him if you want to learn the boss moveset. Ongbal fight with boss is actually slow enough to learn, but fast enough to not test your endure during a fight.
