All these restrictions are ridiculous, while the stadiums and other venues are full of people. It's sad for the cruise lines that had invested a huge amount of money in beautiful and comfortable ships, and also for the crew members that paid a big price by staying home for two years.

Re Australia- I was at a Regent presentation yesterday and the company said that there will be an announcement on 17 February about cruises restarting. Positive news.

Im in Australia and have had like 6 cruises canceled. I had 2 booked in 2020 and they got canceled so I rescheduled them for 2021 (and they too got canceled) and booked another’ short one for early 2021 to break up the waiting. Then that one got canceled so I rescheduled it for early 2022 but that got canceled. So now I’ve just got refunds on all of them.

Don you are not quite correct... The federal government of Australia meets up on Thursday to discuss cruising with the states ... so we are a bit more hopeful then you intimated in your scoop.

Governments love to do things slowly. In order to keep in business the cruise lines have to go other places. I really feel for the people in Australia

We had a dream cruise planned in 2020, all the way around Australia, and NZ, mainly because I want to snorkel the Great Barrier Reef and husband wanted to do Ayer’s Rock. Well, we segwayed and booked a Galápagos cruise on Celebrity Flora all suite 100 passenger ship, with a Machu Pichu land package. I am actually more excited about this cruise!!!!

Our cruise for New Zealand and Australia is set for Feb 2023. I hope by that time things have been sorted out. Of course Carnival doesn't look to come back down under until late 2023. We are sailing with NCL so we'll see. Nice that they are not doing any of the pre-testing, at least for flying in. Sure wish it would go away here.

Don, as far as the current procedure of getting into Australia, you still need a negative test. I don't know why you said otherwise.

I personally love the minimalist look on Scarlet Lady. I am not one for ornate or busy design, but everyone has their own likes and dislikes. In the end, the cabins all look the same when you're sleeping.
