I watch you every day and really appreciate your work. You deliver what you promise: a quick update of daily cruise news. I don’t have 15-20 minutes a day for this subject but your 7-8 minute videos are perfect.

I have been cruising yearly since 1990. And the biggest thing I've noticed is more crowded ships and extra charge restaurants. When I started cruising you had your main dining room, your buffet and maybe a grill out on deck for hot dogs and hamburgers. Now cruisers have a lot more choices but a lot of them come with a price tag.

I think travel in general is worse. It seems like airlines, hotels, cruise lines etc can mess up my vacation and the common answer to the problem is Travel insurance. While I’m a big believer in having travel insurance, I feel like it gives the travel industry a free pass from correcting the errors they have made.

I’m not a big complainer, especially when it comes to cruising! I will say I enjoy the way cruises was back in the early 2000’s when I first started cruising: not charging for every little thing, room service could deliver meals of choice; you could just show up for the events, no reservations; wasn’t all the paid specialty restaurants; I didn’t even own a cellphone back then, 😂😂😂. Thanks for the list of ships with Solo Cabins!!!

We started cruising in 1991 and hadn’t gone for since 2010. Went again in Nov 22 and have since taken 17 cruises. The changes we miss include the Captain’s ball and Captain’s dinner. You actually got a pic and met the Captain. The formal nights were indeed formal. NO ONE went to the dining room without being dressed formal. The midnight buffets were incredible. Carved fruit, ice sculptures, chocolate displays that showed off the culinary skills. In the final night the dining room served baked Alaska. The staff actually paraded with those deserts flaming on their heads.it was impractical and costly but what a time to be cruising. Those days are gone. And it was things like that made the trips special.

Jason, you have the best and most thoughtful cruise news program out there! I've only been cruising since 2015, so I haven't noticed much of a difference there, but I've been flying since the 70s, and that has gotten much worse. Fewer airlines to choose from, fewer services on the planes, and constant upcharges.

For people who don't usually fly and might misunderstand about checked bag fees, it isn't $5 for checked bags but has gone up $5. $40 or $45. Usually the second bag is more.

I‘ve been cruising since 2013. 2014 via Norwegian only. I’ve watched NCL go from “Welcome to your Stateroom with lots of amenities and perks” to “Welcome to Motel 6 where you have to ask for almost everything that you used to receive without asking!” They also nickel and dime you to death. That said, they all do that and I have 7 cruises booked this year! Living life to the fullest!

I believe that cruising is worse. They have taken things away, they added many things for additional cost, and they try to upsell you on everything. We love cruising and will continue to do so. The prices are getting crazy😢😢😢😢

Wowie!!! Just when I was going to recommend you doing a video on solo cruising you were right on I’m a solo cruiser and I have been in several solo trips staying in NCL solos for the last 3 yrs. Now something new they have inside solo, solo oceanview, solo balcony! Great solo lounge, but not on all ships. It’s great with all the amenities and special offers included. I did Med cruise on Epic last May and it was great! Studios are really cool and on those jam packed port itineraries in Europe it’s great cuz you’re never in your room. Special area with added security on your card to enter area. There are so many solos out there that still don’t get it. I’m on fb solo cruiser pages and sometimes on an average 70 inquiries! So this is great! Thank you for such a great channel with real news and I don’t have to hear about your surgical procedures like another cruiser channel guy! Haha! Safe

41 cruises since 2012. Cruising now, unfortunately, is worse. More entitlement and rudeness, much higher prices, reduced perks.

Thank you for posting the individual cruise lines list for solo cabins. This makes a HUGE difference, when looking at which line to book. No more single supplements. That is a major discriminatory practice. The solo traveler market, is getting bigger by the week. We shouldn't be penalized because we do not have a significant other at the moment.

As for the short cruises, it is getting wayy lopsided. I want more 7 to 10 day itinetaries.The same old, same old eastern and western caribbean cruises are dull and not exciting. The cruise lines can attract new clientele, without sacrificing more exciting itineraries. They don't need to put brand new ships on the short excursions, and some ports will not be able to handle these bohemoths!

I feel it is worse. I regret the loss of table cloths, nicer dress or elegant nights, etc. Cruises are more crowded now and children are more prevalent with less apparent parental control.
