Well, obviously Trimble team is catering to a certain sector in market but not clear where.. I guess more on 3D printer users and Quantity and cost estimate branch of work.

It's just frustrating to see that they never upgraded any foundational features like layering parameters, scenes management & export, more modeling features, Improving the AutoCAD import, etc..- for heaven's sake this CAD import feature- those originally smooth curves in AutoCAD becomes roughly segmented in Sketchup and it's been like that since old Sketchup release and they never bothered improving on those basic stuff, I'm not sure if they are on war with Autodesk because their program's languages for lines/polylines doesn't match lol.. or maybe because there's only a minority of users in market whose workflow integrates AutoCAD with Sketchup. Much of my time is spent on closing a polygon surface, and redrawing curves smoothly, simply because Sketchup doesn't recognize it automatically. Presently, I'm just glad that there are really good programmers out there that tirelessly share their useful plugins. I love Sketchup, my office loves it, its intuitive & fast. I work in design (Landscape and Architecture). Unfortunately, Trimble doesn't seem to lean on this design segment these days. I hope in the future, they can introduce more features to cater to those in architectural concept designers again.. something like parametric stuff for quick & advanced and organic modeling.

Wow. I have been using sketchup V15 for a few years, blissfully unaware of what's been going on at sketchup. Sure glad I have it downloaded and it's functional. Tried to use the "online" version of sketchup to open a new model that would not load in my older version. Wow. wow. Words cannot describe how bad this thing is. Crash. Slow. Crash again. What were you thinking? I hope no one spent too much time developing this thing. Back to solidworks it is.

You need to redo this but use a better a microphone. It's unwatchable due to the terrible sound. If you'd recorded this on a mobile the sound would have been better. This is a recurring theme. Your very helpful webinars also have the same type of terrible sound which should be crystal clear digital. Don't understand this unless your persevering with old mics. Other than that, great work....btw, nice view from the office.

Web base version SUCKS cant use extensions.
