My 20 year old daughter just went through this with Toyota on palm beach. She went in for an oil change, there they tried to upsell her and she insisted on just the old change since she only had the car for 3 months. When leaving her check engine light went on, the car was running rough and kept cutting off. She went back the next day they told her she need to pay a $200 diagnostic fee to see what the problem was and things like this happen. Pep boy read the code and it came up as a mass air flow sensor. I popped the hood to look around. A hose from the intake to the engine was unplugged . I reconnected it and the car ran fine, after 20 or so miles the check engine cleared. Complete crooks ! I would have loved to know how much more Toyota would have tried to scam from her.

I went to dealership knowing the price was 17.5K and I specifically told them I wanted to pay no more than 17K out the door, they kept on adding charges and having a 22K price, then went to 20K then when I was walking out the door they came to me with a final 18K offer good for that “day” lol. I left and within an hour I got a call saying “we’ll gladly take 17K out the door for it”. Lol.

I stopped going to dealers for service years ago ... not only are they thieves, but they also sabotage your car.
In the last 9 years I have never experienced a single problem in either one of my cars bought new from the dealer!
NO OPPORTUNITY FOR THEM TO SABOTAGE!

Like anyone on earth has not ever said that! My wife paid $205 for an oil change recently, and $3000 for a tie rod which I'm almost 100% sure she didn't need. I was away for both these robberies.

I've learned to never use their "free" oil changes either. A) cause they use the cheapest crude they could find, and B) EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. I brought a vehicle in, they tried to upsell me on something. Air filters, brake fluid change, etc...never again.

Same here Scottty. Our T-dealership is known for ripping people off. Glad you made a video.

Thanks for getting the truth out for these extended warranties and the rip off that they are!
You have no idea how much we seek your insight and not going to dealer repairs.

No wonder the head of Toyota resign, saying he didn't like where the company was heading 🤔

I’m gonna start a dealership where I sell only 1994 Celicas and Corollas! I can’t fail!

Law should be amended to allow factories to sell cars directly to customers!

Lots of small garages are charging almost as much as the dealer. I always compare local shops prices to the dealer's prices.

To fix a pinhole leak in a radiator or heater core - dump a couple of teaspoons of finely ground pepper in the cooling system. The pepper finds it way to the hole, gets stuck there, and swells up. After it has stopped the leak you can drain the cooling system and refill it if you want to. Maybe run it for a few days before draining it. For pinholes only - but I've heard of this fix lasting many years, as strange as it sounds.

I got more ripped off by a Firestone last week than I have at any dealer.
