How to fix Dualshock 4 L3 & R3 buttons & SPRINTING- PS4

If you have problems with your PS4 controller not sprinting or L3 / R3 not working properly you might want to fill the gap between the stick and tact button like in the video. This will reduce the distance and makes sure your tact button will be pressed properly again. This works for every model Dualshock 4, 3, 2, 1, and every other analog sticks module :)

Ok so i ordered this guys stickers and placed them exactly where he said to put them, also sprayed the analogs with compressed air, and it definitely helps however does not get rid of the issue. The problem is deeper than placing stickers on those pads so I would avoid being tempted ordering them

I’m having a problem with my L3. When I click it in too hard, it makes my R3 work. Really frustrating when I’m trying to sprint and my guy crouches

So guys this definitely works altho I didn't order the round wee tiny thingy I used small rounded stickers instead. And if your controller doesn't have a huge gap I still insist that you slide one under it and it might work out for you. But I mean once your controller starts acting weird some sort of problem will always arise like for instance my square button isn't properly working now 😭🤣 and I'm constantly in this loop of fixing my controller every other day.

The L-R3 buttons not working or acting glitchy does not necessarly mean those plastics are worn out. Before you start adding bits to your controller just try airdusting around there and then spraying a little contact spray over the stick and click mechanism. Cleared it right up for me and many others. Might just be the contact patches getting a little dirty and clogged up.
Would strongly recommend trying to just clear and clean up those moving parts and contacts before you start adding things. I'm sure what is shown here is great advise for that problem but your RL3's not working might very well just be some dust and dirt particals building up over time.

L3 only doesn't click well when stick is forward. Will this be an issue? I assume raising the button may make it too high for when the joystick is in resting or non-forward position.
