If your controller doesnt connect but the orange light is working, try a different cable, it has to be both power and data capable, alot of micro usb cables are only power

Everytime i turn my ps4 back on after pressing “cancel” it doesnt take me to the loading thing and it just takes me to the ps symbol screen, but after the ps symbol disappears it stays stuck on a black screen

If you can’t connect the controller it’s because it’s connected to a different PlayStation device. If you still have that device go into Bluetooth settings and disconnect/delete or reset the controller using the pinhole on the back of the controller to rest it.

If your ps4 doesn’t respond with ps button try using the other USB slot on the ps4, that helped with that part for me!!!
