Always never change the show! I love the long videos, I love the quest for answers, the experiments, the goofy dad jokes, Dan’s hat, Mick’s sneakers, the long long format, the fancy guitars, the boutique amps, the rock and the jazz! How about a show on phasers?

Thank you guys for being honest and real about your struggles with playing/practicing/how you feel during a live performance.
It is like hearing a song with highly relatable lyrics that let you know “hey, someone feels the same, I’m not the only one that feels this way.” And it brings a bit of relief or comfort. Cheers guys, thanks again!

I gotta think the mental/emotional effort you guys demonstrate with the various questions-including what the next question is-is part of the example. You keep showing by example that the exploration is a huge part of the inspiration, and that's a meaningful service to the community. Keep making the videos that turn you on, because who knows what that might inspire for each of us? And if it sometimes feels like a slog, well, we'll be here for that too. Grateful.

When you guys are just hanging and talking gear, honking the horn, and getting distracted and talking about neanderthals is the very foundation on which the show was built... well, not neanderthals specifically, but there we are.
We are here for it, and we love it.
Keep up the good work.

Played my first post lockdown gig! Inspired by Dans thoughts on “...why compromise? ...I’m only going to play a limited number of gigs on this planet...” I risked the extra faff of taking the full rig - despite not knowing the potential stage setup, it was Awesome! ( took my V140 super Duchesses, wet dry with my blues Deluxe reissue, Monk and D&M both on the board, sound engineer originally balked at the two amp thing, but afterwards came to me & said he thought it worked well😀 someone in the crowd at one point shouted “...play that guitar!”, although later the bass player said he heard “ you can’t play that guitar!” - hope he was kidding 🤣👍🎸🇬🇧

Is it weird that I watch the show live, and then watch it again immediately on play back? It’s a full Monday evening for me with you leg ends and a glass of something. Love the show. Bought a pacific cali T Shirt in appreciation.

Just got to see LIVE music last week! I saw Marty Stuart and His Fabulous Superlatives in a small (relatively speaking) theatre. Loud Fender guitars and amps! Yeah, baby!!

Just stopping by to say hello and thanks for the continued great content. I dropped by That Pedal Show Store last night and picked up some of the great new T-shirts. Thanks Dan, Mick, Katherine and TPS crew, y'all are the best!

I’m late to the party but for my part, “black panel” would’ve clarified things for me long ago, as I spent the majority of my life thinking that “black face” was referring to the black tolex of the fender amps.

Also my first comment to you guys, and I’d like to say a grand thank you for guiding me through a rediscovery of my love for guitar playing through a fascination with pedals. From Colorado!

Loved the show, as always! Danta Claus barrelling down your chimney, emptying his big red sack...made me laugh way too hard!!! 😂Thanks for continuing to make my Monday evenings so enjoyable!

Dan and Mick, I'd like to share one person's opinion on the subject of the direction of TPS and bringing more viewers into the family. Part of this is of course personal but part certainly is objective and based on many years of human nature study. Cutting right to it, TPS is what it is because of you two. There are many channels discussing pedals and tone. Yours is unique. The question, then, is why. It's hard to objectively self assess. (the reasons could occupy many more paragraphs) The most concise, if not nuanced answer, is that TPS IS Dan and Mick. You have your technical backgrounds, playing and life experience, sure. But for me, it's your compass. That's where integrity, genuineness (both in your friendship and in your effort to help others) honesty and forthrightness live. You're not out there doing schtick, which would sell an audience short.

Peeling things back a bit, TPS, as we have come to know it, is a "place" we like to come to. It's a brain chemistry thing much akin to nostalgia. Within it will always be expectations related to what we already know of TPS. The same goodness we started on will be good for newer viewers, especially since your vibe is so welcoming and the objective information is so incredibly good. But there's nothing at all wrong with forays into short subject formats or other really cool things such as the epic song videos you two did. (wigs, drones and hay bails...) It's normal for viewers to want the familiarity of the "old TPS" as our mother ship. It probably encourages you two to more creativity, fun and fulfillment at your end if you add a bit of variety. Humans aren't meant to stagnate.

So for this one viewer, the constant is you two. (and the many musician friends you've introduced to us) As long as you maintain the same integrity and humor, TPS will always be good and attract more viewers. As we keep moving toward post-pandemic normal life, those hard to name and quantify restless feelings will reduce to normal levels. At your end and ours.

Still grateful,

G

Interesting hearing Micks thoughts on his time at Guitarist. Something very relatable. Funnily enough it’s not the first time I’ve felt a striking similarity to Micks outlook on life, but that incite has helped me so thank you! Keep up the great work guys!

I think you guys should start a second channel called "That Pedal Show Clips". All the funny jokes and all the little gems like the bit with the different guitars and where they sit at about the 30 min make. It would be the best thing ever.

I have to agree with your comments on the Bluesbreaker. Quite a few months ago, I asked both of you for advice on how to mod it and you both advised me to just try it, as is, before tweaking it. So, I did. At the time, I didn't understand the look you both had on your faces while you were telling me not to mess with it. Now, having played it for several months, recorded it on several tracks, and watched your responses on this episode, I would have the same look on my face if some one asked me what I would recommend for modding it. Thanks for all your advice and thank you for answering my questions today, as well. I feel more confident in knowing what I need to do, as you both basically said what I already knew to be the case for me, personally. I hope you are both doing great and get everything that you hope for and desire. You are a true blessing to all of us. I'm very glad you are here and that we have shared this experience. Thanks again.

+10 points for Spin Doctors deep(er) dive reference. First CD I ever purchased with my own money (I was in elementary/primary school.) It's been on my mind lately since I've been binging the 90s show "Lois & Clark".
