Not a dyslexic one either, and so old I know you've heard it million times: "I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than have a frontal lobotomy." What a sweet old fashioned sentiment. You two are delightful. Just plain delightful! (Im just saying this so you won't thrash me for quoting an absolutely ancient saw..)

I can believe that you lot got run through the wringer over Friday’s video. I thought it was very well done and practical, not to mention I really thought highly of the DSM & Humboldt. There is no sense in arguing over whether or not there’s a difference between running direct or using a tube amp. They are different. Full stop. You can prefer one to the other or be indifferent about either. At the end of the day, I enjoyed the show last Friday and found it extremely helpful considering we all are inevitably going to be faced with a silent stage/run direct situation at some point.

Rudolf the LED-nosed gaindeer,
had a very noisy chain
and if you ever heard it,
it even masked the sweet sustain.

All of the other gaindeers
used to laugh and call him bland,
they never let poor Rudolf
join in any gaindeer band.

Then one foggy Christmas Eve
Daniel came to say
Rudolf with your treble bright,
I will build your board tonight!

Then how the gaindeers loved him
As they shouted out with glee
Rudy, the LED-nosed gaindeer
You'll go down in history

Great VCQ as per usual. The weekly wisdom shared from these two is practical for any level of musician.
Happy Thanksgiving and cheers from the United States.

That really helped me to hear that the audience is on my side. Ever since I was 14, I threw up in the bathroom until I had to go on and then it always went okay. But, I always felt like I was going to f**k it up. This makes me want to consider performing live again. Thanks guys. It's pretty lonely writing, playing, and recording everything in my home studio alone.

Best advice I could give to anyone who’s in a rut - play with another human who you haven’t played with before, especially if they like things you wouldn’t normally choose first, worked really well for me👍🎸🇬🇧

Almost fell out of bed watching this when my good old hometown of Saarbrücken got mentioned… Whatever strange cosmic forces were at work that you fine gentlemen ended up down here???

Excellent as ever Gents. Thank you. Mick, major Tom Waits vibes when you said “you don’t have to go home but you can’t stay here”!

The question re sticking with a setup and trying to get out of a rut vs always buying more stuff - that really resonated with me. I'm in that position right now. I've started to notice that buying gear has become a substitute for playing (particularly with so little time), but it's a poor substitute and not making me any happier with my playing. I feel like in my case concentrating on actually *playing* to get something from it is the hardest thing to make happen, but also the only thing that'll work.

Everyone seems to think Albums are a dead art form, they just aren't. Listened to all of Inked in Red by Vision Video last night. That album came out this year, and it had my attention from beginning to end.

I have a 1 year old daughter now so most of my playing time is at night . I picked up an fm3 and sennheiser headphones and it’s been great. At 11 pm I’m playing a cranked Marshall pretending to be Jimi Hendrix and no one use the wiser. It took a while to get use to feel wise but now I enjoy it a lot .

I was one of the commenters bringing up the missing point about famous tracks done in studio, just wanted to say appreciate the mentioning of cranked studio monitors as something that brings the feedback loop back.
