Truly proverbial Leg Ends... Just to follow up on my super chat comment you read out (too edited to fully make sense!):
Been on a personal journey over the last couple of years that's culminated in a massive increase in mobility (amongst other things) and to 'celebrate' I've decided a project of some magnitude (for myself) was needed. With logic starting from some of Mick's frankness on his mental health journey some while back (anything that helps make it all more open is fabulous) to just the simple joy TPS often brings and the inspiration it regularly gives (and I personally find anything enhancing creativity is fabulous mental medicine) I decided is was appropriate to commemorate it with merging the two things together - hence the whole TPS shirts to be worn during my personally epic walk, trying to complete the Monarch's Way trail (in random order admittedly and will probably take a fair amount of time), all 625 miles of it. Having gone from a XXL to an M shirt size certainly makes keeping a few more in the cupboard much easier if nothing else!
While I've been supporting you guys for a fairly long while (Patreon for a couple of years, D&M drive, TPS paintjob Rattler, note books, hat, shirts, etc, even the Joey Landreth gig at Fat Lil's - last gig I went to, need to change that fact, fabulous as it was!) no offence to you all, I felt like doing something 'positive' in your name so to speak. God that sounds insulting and arrogant doesn't it? ;-) I'm sure you know what I mean.
So even though this happens to clash with 'Movember' (I've got a full beard, so...) this isn't going to be done in a month and is more a personal thank you in a different sort of way for that part of my journey that's been because of you guys. Ultimately I hope to raise some money along the way and intend to make donations in aid of men's mental health (as highlighted by Movember for example, men's suicide rates are still 3 times higher than women's in this country and men still can barely talk about such things). The vague 'men's health' thing wasn't helpful really!
Rounding out things, the Laney HQ was indeed in Cradley Heath, but has since moved up the road a mile or two to Halesowen which is both just over the road from where I work, and just over the other side of the canal where my own starting point on the Monarch's Way route began this last Sunday.
Thanks again for everything you do and give to the community, may you both stay both awesome and happy.

2:11:53 - Yes! El Paso by Marty Robbins.... classic! The Marty Robbins song "Don't Worry" was the first musical recording to use fuzz (on the bass). Thanks for all you do, D&M!

When you were showing your new shirt all I could hear in my head was that horrid 90’s song
🎶”on the catalk🎶
🎶on the catwalk🎶
🎶oh he does his little turn on the catwalk”🎶

I have to say; as a non-binary person (they/them pronouns), your very regular effort to use inclusive language means a lot, and all that aside, I just flipping love you guys. My guitar life wouldn't be the same without you. I simply wouldn't have found this knowledge anywhere else. Thanks for everything. Unknown tone gods: Doug Martsch of Built To Spill, Meg Duffy of Hand Habits, Mark Speer of Khruangbin, Blake Mills maybe? Y'all know him, but I don't think enough people know him. Joni Mitchell in the Jazz Chorus era. Hejira and Hissing of Summer Lawns. Buck Meek of Big Thief. Alright. Done here. Thanks for everything leg-ends.

Tab Benoit is completely legendary to those in the know. I've seen him in a small club. Absolutely transcendent!!=)

MARC RIBOT!!! Hells to the yea! That dude is absolutely ridiculous as a player AND his use of tone. Huge exploration with both.

42:10 - I bought a baritone neck in lockdown from Fender. Then a body and all the other parts for a baritone strat. Pop it into position 2 or 4 and play the Twin Peaks theme for hours on end.

I just bought a baritone. The Squier Paranormal Cabronita Telecaster in Surf Green. For the money the guitar is a beast. I have it tuned to B standard. Comes with 14 - 68 strings so feels a little like a bass on the low end but I agree playing chords on it sounds amazing. I highly recommend adding one to your collection. It comes with Fender's version of P90's which are a little shrill on the high end but roll the tone off a bit and you can really dig in and get the dynamics you expect from any good set of P90s. Thanks for another great show guys.

There are people that understand theory and people who understand practical application. Everyone understands a certain degree of both. But, we all gravitate more toward one or the other; people who want to think about it and sometimes never do it, and people who don't want to think about it and just want to do something. I'm actually the latter. I just engage in the former to maximize my doing.

The best musicians combine technical expertise with expressiveness. There are many, many ways to convey in musical notation how expression is to be applied. It's just another learnable skill. Obviously, music existed before the system of musical notation, but I find understanding musical notation to be a very useful tool.
