I hate the traffic ...also hate the humidity and the cost of housing..the difference between today and 10 years ago is amazing.

Florida is the state of diminishing returns. It gets to the point where it's just not worth it. Glad i left years ago.

I moved out of Florida in June of 2022. I could never go back. If I did, a part of me inside would die.

I have been here for 8 years now. I feel the inflation and traffic is crazy depending where you are. But for the most part, I am very happy here. The whole world has become challenging to live in. Why should Florida be exempt. Hope you find a perfect place if you are looking to move. As for me Florida is home.

I am a native floridian. I've never wanted to leave. The weather does not bother me at all. I hate to be cold. Anything below 50 dehrees, I start getting cranky. I must say that I may have to leave my beautiful state due to cost of living. I recently changed my homeowners insurance due to my premium tripling in price from 3k to 9k. Currently policy is now under 3k. Property taxes going up. Car insurance is ridiculous. I grew up in Ft. Lauderdale, now live in Stuart. Im looking at Myrtle Beach or TN. I'll need a good heater!

I grew up in Miami from 1961 until I moved away in 1986, when my husband got stationed in New Orleans with the Coast Guard. He always wanted to retire to the Naples or Sarasota area. I was two years away from retirement and we were planning to sell our house here in Georgia and make the move to Florida. Eddie died very suddenly and unexpectedly in 2021, so I decided to stay here in my paid off home. I think I narrowly escaped making a very bad decision. I enjoy the lifestyle and climate in North Georgia.

I firmly believe that Florida roads and intersections are prone to promoting car accidents and, therefore, lawsuits that favor local law firms and, consequently, substantial traffic fines that gradually fill county coffers

I lived in FL for 8 years and moved recently because of what you've mentioned. Everything you've listed is so true. Two more: #12 The constant drone of leaf blowers, and #13 No basements. A good dry basement is the perfect multi-purpose room with lots of space.

IF IT IS SO EXPENSIVE IN FLORIDA, WHY THE HELL ARE THERE SO SO MANY PEOPLE

Hoping to sell the business and move. Almost a lifelong Floridian and I dream of leaving. The place sucks now and it's getting worse.

I've lived in Florida all my life and can't wait for the day to escape. Eight years to be exact when my son goes to college. It gets worse here every year and the weather is not what people anticipate it to be. It is either raining, extraordinarily humid, and hot at least eight 8 months out of the year. That leaves maybe three months of nice weather, ( if we are lucky.) It's also too expensive and a ton of crime. Look elsewhere for paradise, it is definitely not here

Florida is still crazily expensive for me, and my net worth is in the top 2%. I wonder how all Floridians manage to live there.

Homeowners Insurance has exploded in the past few years. I think one yearvit jumped 63%, but from about 2013 to 2021 it only increased a little a year. Once it even went down a tiny bit.

I haven't noticed an issue seeing doctors, and a few years ago my mother had a complicated illness that required a bunch of specialists and getting appointments wasn't hard.

Because it’s just depressing and exhausting on so many levels……miserable clammy armpit weather, nightmare traffic, insurance, property and monthly maintenance fees in the stratosphere, poorly educated public, squalor everywhere. The “poster boy” for the “dumbing down of America”!

Florida's highways were designed for a population of 4 million. 23 million people travel in roads designed for less than 24% of that amount.

Irresponsible development without the infrastructure in place. It is unbelievable how quickly every parcel of land is being destroyed. You mentioned this in your video and believe me when I tell you it is creating lots of problems already. Ready to go after living here for eighteen years! Great video…thank you.

Just had new neighbors move in, native Floridans. In a brief talk about their reasoning, rising insurance (home and auto) and property taxes. They are building new here in TN, they wanted to avoid higher taxes e.g. income, vehicle registration etc. I hope they are happy here

I am from Florida, ....Born there, grew up there, raised my family there. I have seen a lot of changes in my time there, not many of them in my opinion being from my job of 46 years in December, I moved to rural Georgia at the end of February. I could no longer take the ridiculous traffic and road rage, the overcrowding everywhere you look and went, the rude and obnoxious people moving there who dont give a damn about the local people and want to make Florida just like wherever it was they are from.
The cost of living has gotten to the point that you can`t afford to live there anymore, cost of insurance, rent/mortgage, goods and services, in February and havent looked back, the Florida that I knew and loved is long gone, destroyed by outside interests and rude people.

As a Floridian, I used to get really angry about videos like this. Right now, however, we are so overcrowded and so overpriced and so beyond capacity that I am perfectly happy with a few people being discouraged from moving here and others wanting to move out. I am in the insurance business in one of the major problems in the game is the density of homes and condos on and near the coast. It makes properties nearly uninsurable because of the concentration of risk, the exposure to litigation claims as well as the demands from consumers to have their home insurance policies cover absolutely everything from broken down appliances to leaky faucets. This is exacerbated by a lack of real capacity to provide insurance. Even charging maximum prices does not keep insurance company solving in Florida, nor does it attract additional insurance carriers to help spread the risk lower the premium and offer more choices. When I was born in 1960 they were 8 million people in Florida and now they were very near 23 million. It’s just very difficult to make a lot of things like insurance or finance or manufacturing or even now agriculture work here. We are strangling on all of the people that want to move here and we are out of capacity for housing, insurance, financial support, good, paying jobs, etc.
