I just got my first diamond today at level 8. It was a level-9 legendary diamond. I was stalking up to a small herd of white tail deer in Layton Lakes to take a young buck with my crossbow (tried getting into rage of 50 feet). As I was crawling within 60-70 feet of the buck, I changed my course to move around this small group of trees I was using as cover, and go around for the final distance to take my shot in cover. As I changed direction, that’s when I saw this black bear only about 70 feet away that was resting in my blind spot while I was stalking. When I spotted it, I get excited seeing that it was a level-9! That I didn’t even look at the weight. The best part is he was facing me so I had a clear shot to his cheap/vitals! Upon shooting him with my .270 and dropping him right away, I soon learned that he was also a diamond which blew my mind with excitement!twas a great day and I might never have another like it.

Flinter this series is truly amazing. I started a new account on playstation 4 and i am trying to keep up with you step for step and it's been very enjoyable. I've also learned quite a bit and it has truly helped with my experience with the game. I hope you keep this series going for a long time!

I put the game down for a few months and just came back. As I did I saw this series and it inspired me to do a restart. On my old save I had never found a diamond. On the restart I had a diamond on my 5th or 6th kill with a male blacktail. So it can happen very early on.

I say it’s okay! If it’s a laptop you can have the beginner open and play your main on the main setup

My first diamond was a black tail in a black bear need zone. Saw it at about 250-300m. Walked to 175m. One shot with the .270 and my first diamond at level 6! Lol.

Hiding by a lake for a while can usually be a good idea
