It depends on the person. Dont get caught up on whats wrong or right. Trial low carb/high fat for a month then high carb/low fat. Then look at the facts and decide for yourself. With high carbs im constantly hungry but muscles look more rounded am apart from my abs that look a little watery i also have tons of energy in the gym. High fat im more satiated and not as hungry, i look leaner especialky on abs hold less water but no where near the energy for my workouts. My sweet spot is now in between. Dont get caught up on right or wrong. Trial it and do what suits you taking into hunger, energy and how you ideally want your body to look

Just my personal experience: when I don't eat carbs, I feel tired, hungry and without energy. I also have an extremely fast metabolism. So for me, they are good. This is just personal and it works differently for everyone

I'm wearing a continuous glucose monitor. In wearing one i have answered some of my food questions but now i have other questions. When i eat a high carb meal my blood sugar comes back down to baseline pretty quickly. So now my question is, what happened to those carbs... stored as fat, stores as glycogen? The amount of carbs we need might actually be very very small. A serving size for cereal for example is one cup yet we pour ourselves like 5 or 6 cups of it. That's really a waste of food. All we need is the one cup.

Yes, Protein is for muscle-building blocks. But the muscle-building blocks will never work if you don't eat carbs because carbs are responsible for activating protein synthesis. If you eat low carbs, You are deactivating the protein synthesis. Deactivating protein synthesis prevents muscle recovery and growth. So, you need to eat more carbohydrates.

I’m carnivore and have grown in size and strength on the diet, having previously been a carb-eating lifter. So I KNOW you do not NEED carbs. In fact, once one has fat-adapted, the body readily uses ketones, which are a great source of energy. In fact, I believe the research is starting to show that carbs are not the body’s preferred source, but rather the quickest available. The brain and organs love ketones. My lifting sessions are brutal and I do not fatigue. Meanwhile, others swig glucose during their sessions 😉

No you don't need carbohydrates to build muscles because muscles are made of water and proteins and a little bit of fat, but you need carbohydrates for intense training and explosive workouts. So you should eat carbohydrates before and after training and on days off you don't really need carbohydrates. If you still want to use carbohydrates on a non-training day, then eat carbohydrates.

This is the second video I've watched where the person talks a load of garbage without any research data. Anyone actually have a real answer to this?

The body is capable of making its own carbohydrates (sugar/glucose) "fuel" whatever you want to call it by a process called "Gluconegenesis" look it up! You don't need to eat carbs at all but if eating them aren't causing you any problems then no point giving them up, but all you really to build muscle is sufficient protein and fats, train hard and always try to do better the next day (safely!) Get good quality sleep and most importantly stay hydrated!
For me personally carbohydrates ( anything more than 100 grams a day) do me no favors and just make me gain fat so i just focus on getting sufficient protein and fat and keeping carbs to a minimum and i seem to be doing something right and don't suffer from low energy in fact quite the opposite i have more energy when i keep my carb intake low and feel much better overall!

Of course you need carbs,
To restore depleted glycogen and repair your muscles after intense workout.
Ive trained with low carbs and muscles look crap flat, with carbs muscle looks fuller well rounded..
