8.4 is too low. This is the best game I've played in years. It not only pushes the envelope and shows what can be done with an imaginative concept, it's also incredible immersive and enjoyable. How they constructed the narrative is beyond me but they've pulled it off perfectly. This is one of only a few true gaming masterpieces.

Sat watching credits of Outer Wilds with tears in my eyes. Partly because of the emotional impact of the game and partly because I really needed it right now. And also because I'd totally fallen out of love with games lately and this reminded me what video games should be. In a few fundamental ways it's one of the best games I've ever played.

Just finished this. It's really only at the end that I became aware of what an amazing experience this game is. While I was playing I was so immersed in the exploration, learning more about the Nomai and trying to solve the mystery. Now, looking back, I can safely say that it's one of the most unique and awesome gaming experiences I've had in the past couple of years, or maybe ever.

I expected a chill puzzle/exploration game such as Riven, Myst or The Witness, but this game is actually kind of intense. Also, you can tell it's made with a lot of heart.

This is one of my favourite games ever and made a lasting impact on me that is matched by fewer other pieces of media. Even if puzzle solutions can sometimes be a little obscure, I would encourage anyone to NOT look up solutions in guides. I did that for two, three things because I got impatient and now I regret it deeply.

One of the most awesome things about Outer Wilds is how unique each player‘s experience is. Just take a look at the comment section for Snoman‘s video on it, where people share how their first exploration went. No two stories are the same.

The most criminally underrated game I’ve ever played. Do yourself a favour and don’t watch any reviews or gameplay before playing the game. This review and the 8.4 score doesn’t do the game justice at all. A modern masterpiece in every sense of the word.
