For those watching this video from Ontario Canada: In the Province of Ontario it is illegal to use trout row to fish for trout. That is why bait shops sell salmon row which works just as well and is legal.

I use 3 eggs in Colorado that normally gets the big 17+ trout to bite. I also use sents on my bait like shrimp or garlic

In Washington our limit for trout is five, and when I wanna kill time and go for stocked trout I can use four berkley powerbait magnum eggs and those tiny stocked trout can still swallow it all, I use so many eggs to “try” to keep the smaller ones away, I’ll even add a powerbait trout worm on there too, or use three eggs plus a nice tail for a really big bait for bigger trout, but it doesn’t work, sometimes I catch my five witching half an hour and there goes my fishing day lol

It's best to use artificial plastics to catch the big ones. eggs and powerbait is what kids use to catch trout.

Worms and shiners. Never caught a single trout on eggs, power bait or beads and have attempted many many times. Maybe it’s just where I live.

Nice stocker I personally don’t like stock trout fishing in my opinion it is more fun to go out on the rivers and catch natural fish. Good fish homie

Velveeta cheese has always worked great for me. Size 8 hook. If you have to use a weight use a split shot. Open face reel. Cast delicately. Leave a lot of slack in the line on the bank. Trick is to fool them with absolutely no resistance on the line.
