For me, im just making my own projects with ableton, this is fairly good tool for capturing the simple melodies which come in my mind every now and then.
What you didn´t mention about the keys, lets say they feel very plastic (like a toy piano) and you have to press them oddly hard. Thats why i wouldn´t play anything live with this, just capturing melodies and so..

I just started to learn music theory and getting into music production as a hobby. Do you think this controller is good for beginners? I just want to mess around, practice theory on it and make simple beats with ableton. I'm just asking because it's price is really appealing but I don't know how much exactly it compromises the quality. For a hobby though it seems more than enough. Thanks for the review.
