“Just because my dreams are different than yours doesn’t mean they’re less important.”
Y’all don’t even know how much I love this quote.

“A Slytherin to Jo’s Gryffindor” is the absolute best succinct summary of the two sisters. I loved Jo but deeply appreciated Amy’s shamelessness in leveraging the system to get what she wants.

Gonna be honest. I feel like I'm a mix of all of them.

The way the author portrayed Jo in the book was always biased, because she was a Jo

I loved Amy, she’s a pragmatist and is ambitious. She wants it all. There’s nothing glamorous about struggling to pay your bills. She also enjoys accomplishment and her dressing up stems from self respect than showing off.

I think I am a combination of Jo and Amy. Like Jo, I am a feminist, dreamer and an independent woman. Like Amy, I have always been girly/feminine, I love beauty & the finer things in life which is why I focused on studies and I am working very hard to fulfil my wants and I don't believe in settling for an average Joe.

I'm definitely Amy. Be part of the system but not be tamed by the system.

I think Jo's character is often romanticized; she sort of seems to have a mindset that causes her not to enjoy the standards of the time she lives in, which pushes her to pursue what she knows is right and that's unique. But as someone who's extremely similar to that, it's actually really painful and lonely and a lot of the time you don't actually know or understand what you want because it's never clearly painted in the world you live in.
It kind of sucks.

When I read the book as a kid, I always related to Amy more than Jo. Sure, she was bratty, but she was also strong and intelligent. I'm so grateful that this film finally did her character justice!

I was initially a Beth,
met someone and turns into Meg,
got my heart broken and became Jo,
then finally grew mature & realistic, now I'm Amy.

For me, it's more like a cycle.

i love amy, she’s realistic and she knows what she wants. as much as i love the fantasy of jo of “making it” by herself, back then it was very hard and amy knew that. amy realised how the system works so she decided to be part of that system but not be conformed by it.

"I want to be great or nothing!".
It stills in my mind.

Jo is more of a Ravenclaw if you ask me. Beth is the most underrated March of the group. There's nothing wrong with being content by simple things, and being kind is just as important.

I think that if I restrict myself as a book character, I would be dismissing the heart of Louisa's work. Every women are unique. I am a bit of all of them, and I am the original "me".
