Testing a new matcha tea set

I've bought that same set and strongly recommend AGAINST it. What you call a "springy sieve" is a weak handle joint and the springiness sprays matcha everywhere. The whisk was a very low quality whisk and came with several of the tines already broken at the tread line. The bamboo used was very old for a whisk (and more brittle). The scoop was poorly constructed and showed broken chips instead of carving. The bowl was so poorly made that it was the first bowl in over a decade that I couldn't whisk a grit-free bowl of matcha (I've been teaching tea ceremony for over a decade.) All of the utensils were of the lowest quality I have seen in a very long time. The matcha? That was fairly decent, albeit over priced compared to other matcha of the same quality.

So am I missing something? Like I know people love matcha and maybe I just didn’t have a good one, but doesn’t it just taste like grass clippings? I would love to be wrong because it looks delicious.
