This song really stands out for those whose parents don't have a great relationship. Not because they didn't have this but because one day they'll be the reason their children can sing this wishing for someone just like their Mom/ or Dad. This song touches my heart, I sang it recently for my mama because it reminded me of the great love I was so blessed to see between her and my daddy.. he passed away from esophageal cancer almost 11 yrs ago..but it feels like yesterday he was here.. he left a big hole in our family for everyone that knew or had contact with my dad loved him.. especially my mommy. It's every girls dream if you had a father like mine to have a love just like that in your own life one day.. I pray that my daughter and my daughter in-law will experience the love I was so privileged to see . .. so when I hear this it brings me memories of sneaking to watch my parents slow dancing in the kitchen, seeing the love they had for each other made me have hope for myself and now for my own grown children.. love that is there not only in the good but bad times that you can depend on, that carries each other thru..for sometimes it's like a tag team.. for if one is down the other holds you up.. and when there down you hold them up.. I got to see that.. true love...holds your head when your sick and to weak to hold your head up yourself, true love laughs at your corny jokes, true love says your beautiful when you look your worse .true love hangs in there with you even when your world seems it's falling apart..it cries with you, laugh's with you celebrates and sometimes mourns..but no matter what it doesn't leave, I was blessed to see that kind of love and I think today I'm blessed to have found that kind of love.. to my daughter and daughter in-law I pray they will be able to feel the same way in there life with the men there with ..what a legacy to leave your children, small or grown.. to leave them seeing there mother happy and loved is a great gift . I have had that gift and pray they will as well and pass it to there own daughters.. whoever shared this song.. thank you.. thank you for reminding me that love no matter when you receive it is always a gift...
