the first time I listened to this I cried for like 5 hours while the song played on loop. I didn't even know I'm gonna cry or why I cried. My tears just flowed through and I sobbed uncontrollably.
I come from a very toxic family. My parents divorced, and even before that they fought constantly. Both of them are abusive towards me. My dad was an addict and my mom has a lot of mental health issues. They both had their own lovers outside the marriage that they rather spent time and money on. So growing up, I never know softness and safety within the family. I never know what "home" is.
This song really tells what it looks and feels like and I want that. I want that softness, that security, all that love in my own home someday.
