I love seafood boils! They are traditional in the Chesapeake Bay area (and probably many other waterfront places). Sometimes the sauce is on the side for cleaner dipping while seasoned broth is on the seafood itself, sometimes it's combined like this. Most modern places switched from dumping on plastic covered table like this to large platters, but again I don't know about seafood boil traditions in other areas.
