In our marriage culture, we learned to never rely your happiness to 'happenings'. Kasi pag hindi nameet yung expectations you'll always chase that NEXT 'happenings' and you'll end up disappointed and SAD.

Truth is all emotions are temporary, Being joyful is a choice, lahat ng bagay lilipas lang, so embrace it. Hope this helps!

I came here from the YouTube short that started at 5:23 and I just wanted to say, I get exactly what you’re talking about. I used to have full on depression for about 5-6 years, but even now that that has been healed, I always get PMS that makes me feel depressed and hopeless and foggy. The only thing that has carried me through every time and made it all worth it was knowing that Jesus Christ died and rose from the dead to set me free from the chains that depression tries to put on me. I don’t do this alone, and neither do you!

We know that depression is very connected with death and wanting to die, but knowing that Jesus (God in the flesh) overcame death and sent His Holy Spirit to live with those who believe changes everything. If we have the Holy Spirit, we have the Spirit of life and truth in us! All it takes is believing in Jesus and repenting from our old ways— that means committing to relearn how we cope and following Jesus’s ways instead of our own. Our good deeds cannot save us from our self-destruction, struggles, and failures— only God can ❤️ Much love!

whenever i get annoyed with the little daily things that a mama/wife does, it resets me to a joyful mood when i go back to that very hard episode of our family life wherein we persisted with joy no matter how unfair or painful it was. now everything is more at peace and remind myself THIS was the life i prayed for 🥰🙏🏻 kinaya namin yon. so no matter what comes our way kakayanin na lahat 🤗

it also helps set me in the right perspective when i look up to the sky. makes me realize how tiny of a speck i am in this universe so i should not feel like i carry the weight of the world 😅

This talk is very insightful! i was feeling the same way at times...Im looking for something what really makes me happy, of course I am grateful as a mom and a wife, but there are times when you get burnt out and you are drowning in sadness, that's really tough! Our minds are really powerful and sometimes difficult to control.

the downside of me "protecting my peace" and avoiding conflicts before was thinking its already "okay" cause i avoided it, but in the end it gave me more anger issues and yes now i believe you should acknowledge your feelings and let it out in a healthy way

Coming from the construction industry, I can relate with what Slater said.

I agree with Kryz about the blessings. Sometimes we forget to count our blessings ‘coz clouded na ng negative train of thought 😅

Short or Long form na vlog / podcast pinapanood ko ‘coz you guys are gifted with wisdom ☺️

Oh my, you both are truly genuine, reflective, intelligent and inspiring couple! I really learn a lot from you guys, so encouraging and even entertaining to listen to and to watch! 😍 And know what, am into counseling and just finished my program and you are talking and applying in your daily lives already the approach called CBT (Cognitive Behavior Therapy) and the here-and-now (enjoying your moment or bonding time with your kids), mindfulness thingy and even that grounding technique (you mentioned about doing some thing with your hands and focus thingy), and hearing you talking about your experiences, you'd really be an excellent counselors or life coach, or even psychologist! 😍
