Interesting comparison. Even though they're not performance focused as before Lubuntu is still one of the best choices for old 2GB RAM laptops. Even Linux MX with Fluxbox desktop environment, which should be as low it gets for modern Linux, has more RAM consumption than idle Lubuntu.

I'm working on both DE lxqt and xfce, I'm big fan of xfce as it has all you need customaztion as you want and also lightwight enough, I used lxqt and lxde before
and was very bad experince on old versions due lagging all the time but when used latest version special 1.4.0 I'm really surprised how developers worked and optimized it very well, Already writing this comment from lubuntu 22.04 with lxqt 1.4.0 ☺

Obviously lubuntu wins. Lubuntu is best linux i used ever it has a simple look like windows 7 and works great on 2gb ram laptop so it's the god for old laptops

Please do Lubuntu against Zorin OS lite (xfce) and Linux lite (also xfce) and mint mate (gnome 2) and include CPU usage with RAM and boot up time.

This is a bit apples to oranges. Wouldn't it be more useful to say, install lxqt on a fresh arch install, then compare xfce on a fresh arch install?
