I got a older Tokai from the 80s... and a squier jv... i sold my modern fender american strat because of them. In my ear the modern tokay sound as good as my both older Models... great Guitars! Yours is a keeper i guess

The Tokais are great, i have the 1980 Springy Sound, and the pickups in that are totally amazing.
Love the review, great sounding guitar, great tone too btw

The electrics are Japanese, GF pots, japanese switch. Pickups are Gotoh. The model is an SS-88. I know because I own the rosewood board version in sunburst. Great guitar. The pickups are voiced like late 60's Fender grey bottom pickups. It's a Blackmore/Gilmour/Hendrix 68 clone.
