This is extremely useful. Goes by many names, silicone tape, military tape, f4 tape, this thing has 101 different uses. Also a very great tip is making sure when you go around, that the tape and pipe is as dry as possible. The dryer, the more the tape will stick to itself and fuse itself. Great video.

Looks like a great solution for a garden hose I have with a drip drip pinhole leak. HD says not available in my area (southern Ontario). Is Nashua Stretch and Seal Self-Fusing Silicone Tape the same thing?

This tape is also used to wrap high voltage connections

The biggest problem is that by the time you get these things your screwed. Why not turn off the ball valve instead?

It works great for an overnight fix when you cant turn off the water

The silicone tape always leaks out the ends unless you use at least two properly sized worm clamps over the tape wrap.

Kabash seems better however can t buy them anywhere. Tried to buy kabosh freeze kit. Not sold anywhere
