Imagine if you pay someone to fix your leaks and they show up with flex tape.

Dude I've been a plumber for 20 years, the Blue Monster leak tape is legit. Wrap it around the pinhole leak a few times and it expands and tightens up.. seriously try it out, I give it to all the maintenance guys we do work for on commercial buildings

Turn the water off and apply to dry surface.

I know a great product! It's called copper with two slip couplings

Look at the flex seal ad in slow motion. The guy slaps flex seal on a huge tank of water and it immediately starts bubbling off and they cut to the next scene. Always made me laugh.

Instead of using flex seal, use flex tape. Flex tape is the best tape to use to stop a leak. it's black tape to be specific, you should definitely get it.

It's called sandpaper, 15 % silver solder and a torch

“Phil swift here and we are no introducing to you… pressure seal”

We had these crazy things for if a pipe ever broke on a ship in the navy. Basically a steel pipe clamp that you over torque down onto the pipe. Even under pressure it will stop the leak. Very similar to what they use on water mains.

Try the Smith-Blair “redi clamp” They’re available in different sizes, as you can imagine.

Has to be clean really good with the flex tape blue monster has a type of Teflon looking tape that works good for temp repairs like that 👌 👍

They do make repair clamps the only thing you should keep in mind that it should be a temporary thing

I mostly use a bicycle inner tube pulled as tight as you can. on pipe leaks, works great. It works like the hose lamp whit rubber.

Or you could always do the proper thing... Cut pipe, install slip coupling and solder it.

Turn the water off cut the pipe and solder another bit with two female ends into the pipe

Pow-r-wrap is what I've used. Its epoxy with a fiberglass wrap. Creates a permanent seal

Here's an idea. Perform actual maintenance. You go through the trouble of ripping open your wall to expose a leak. Might as well just replace that piece of pipe. It would only add an additional 30 minutes to a 3 hour job anyway (of patching up that giant hole)

Also what's that pipe made of? The house that my grandfather build had copper pipes that are still perfectly fine to this day.

Replace the whole section of pipe. If there is a small hole in it that wasn’t caused by something external to the pipe, then the whole pipe is corroded internally, and you will be back to fix another leak soon enough.

I have a 300 gallon plastic water tank that I use for work. It has a previous repair/patch using sheet metal on the inside and screws to secure it. Then some fiberglass around the edges. It leaked but after I flex sealed the outside it's holding just fine.
