You are doing a work which others are not able to do with such efforts. Thanks for improving our lives. Love from India.

I'm facing some struggles starting memory palaces and I have some questions.

1. What if you're learning words monolingual but the meaning is vague to the point where you can't create an image?

2. Since you're learning words monolingual, does the image/action need to be in the language you're learning? What if your speaking and writing ability is not up par yet which limits this severely? After researching, I found out learning words bilingual is a fruitless effort.

3. Words with multiple definitions. Do you make separate stations with different images for all of them?

4. Is recall rehearsal needed when listening and reading already work as SRS?

You'll get words into short term memory through memory palaces and just read and listen massive amounts daily; no need to spend hours a day reviewing a ton of words in your memory palace?

Thanks for the video. I started by using Ron White's memory palace technique so I choose 10 rooms in a place and I have 5 stations per place. I recently finished a 2 digit PAO and am starting to learn digits of pi again, so I could learn 3000 with 10 places which is crazy to me!

Hi Anthony, this is John from Northeast Ohio I haven't commented lately on your channel because I'm busy with statistics class. But know that I think a lot about your work and still continue to watch your videos from time to time. I'm having to work a lot around being patient with statistics class, because first I have to learn the concepts and then I have to practice applying them. It's scary sometimes when I have to study and I'm not sure what to study. Then I spend hours just figuring out the process. Once I do that I have to go back sit down, and do the original problems. But we are more than halfway through which is good. The professor seems to be on my side and pulling for me at school. Hope you're well and your life is full of new adventures or restful moments whatever the case might be. I'm so happy the weather is finally breaking here in Ohio.

How long dies it take to have a very effective memory palace given full dedication and practice and doing it correctly, I need this for med school.

As long as there is some sense of cardinal direction, a system of stations can be developed in the memory palace, would that be correct?

Very comprehensive. I like the idea of an eternal station. I've certainly noticed that if the stations are small or moveable I'm liable to forget the order or story. Thanks!

I"ve gained so much from these, Anthony and I thank you. Just as an aside, when I was young, I decided I didn't have a mind for memory, flunked French and generally struggled in school. Now I speak Spanish and am working on Arabic.
When choosing a palace (I use my home for one, now) how well acquainted with a physical place should we be before opting to use it? I can think of 6-8 buildings I remember well in my life. Or will the room/building simply unfold as it is useful?
Thanks again for these enlightening videos.
Regards,
Jonathan

Hi sir, again me. Sorry if bothering. I wonder if we use one well-designed memory palace more than one i.e. again and again. Or should we build another memory palace for another subject? Thanks. Regards.

Hi Anthony, thanks for generously sharing your skills with us... appreciated! My personal advocacy is to help the kids learn better by strengthening the basics and empowering them with the tools of learning effectively. Letting them know effective techniques and realize their God-given mind/brain...with its capabilities and potential skills to develop, they will gain self confidence and be equipped to learn better. Thanks much. Glad to start this journey for better memory. Subscribed! - AHA- 10/23/18

How many times will a memory palace work to store data before you get confused by storing additional data in it for another topic?

Hey Anthony

I would like you to confirm whether the information you want to remember is placed in each station through imagination?

OR

Do you literally produce a diagram of a Map and then add key summarised notes on each station?

Or is the answer right in both these scenarios?

How about 4 corners plus the center? That would give you natural, intuitive clusters of 5 that are easier to order with our base-ten number system. The center could always be the last of the five stations, and would always be ordered with a number ending in either zero or 5.

I’m just starting out. Is it ok to use a memory palace over again lots of times or will I eventually get confused based on the overlap?

Very interesting. I've been using Memory Palaces for a long time, but with pieces of furniture, so I select 5 pieces of furniture in each room in a clockwise or straight pattern so I can mentally walk through the room to recall the new associated info.

But the idea of using the corners is powerful. Do you recommend combining both approaches? I mean, using corners + furnitures in a logical way I could easily recall? Is it reliable to have 5+ or 10+ stations per room?

Thanks Anthony!
