Should you re-use your memory places? There is no doubt that the Memory Palace is one of the most powerful memory techniques to ever exist. In fact, sometimes memory palaces are SO powerful, that they make information hard to forget.

It gets confusing if I'm always using my house as a palace. Sometimes the image mixes with the former images I have already set up for other topic.

What about making different levels of a memory palace with the same layout? You could make each level a different color, and then associate that color with the topic. The "Green level" of my Memory Palace is for birthdays, the "Orange Level" is for the names of all my coworkers, the "Red Level" is for the list of all my past employers (if you change jobs frequently, like a contract programmer or something). Seems like that system could work pretty well if you are having a hard time coming up with different structures for multiple Memory Palaces.

I have to remember a lot of informations and i have to store those informations permanently. So i have to create a lot of memory palaces and i don't have much locations. Is there any solution for that??

If you're trying to remember stuff for college, there's a lot to remember and too many palaces to create and remember. Since you want to retain that information for a lengthy period, there's absolutely no way you can reuse the same palaces and they need to be rock solid. I don't think you can use weak memory palaces as they will be, in return, be 'weak'.

I watched a video and the guy in the video said the easiest way to do a memory palace is to go in a room or somewhere else and number the items the items should be big.

So the big items are hard to move and you can picture big items better

Can anyone explain to me why the memory palace is good? It seems like in order to memorize things you need to first memorize all the locations in the memory palace, which seems like it would be time consuming.
