1. The upper chest or the neck below the jawline or must touch the bar. Touching the bar with the underside of the chin does not count.

2. A dead hang must be maintained for a minimum of 0.5 seconds before every repetition, including the first one. The body must be motionless, the arms and legs straight.

3. Use pure strength; no swinging, kipping, or other use of momentum is allowed.

It is recommended that the hollow position be assumed before each repetition.

Tactical Strength Challenge™

Held twice each year—the “community” event in late April/early May and the “competition” event on the last Saturday of October—the Tactical Strength Challenge™ is comprised of three exercises:

–A max powerlifting deadlift (three attempts)

–Pullups for max reps (palms forward, no kipping, chin or upper chest must touch the bar) or flexed arm hang for time (in the Novice Women’s category)

–Kettlebell snatches for max reps in a 5:00 time period (unlimited hand switches and different weights for different competitor categories).

Preparing requires your focus on different types of strength and endurance—as demanded by real life’s challenges.

The next TSC (Community Edition) is scheduled for Saturday, May 7, 2022.

Participant registration is open through the day of the event.
