So hit that subscribe button as we’re about to go on another journey deep into the avatar universe.

So our story begins with a young boy named Yun, of the Earth Kingdom. As a young boy, he was initially misidentified as the Avatar to the whole world. Soon however the truth about Kyoshi being the real Avatar instead came to light, and his own personal mentor and masater, a man named Jianzhu completely abandoned him. The closest man Yun know, his only guardian and the one who discovered him as a boy betrayed him and gave him to a spirit to whisk away into the mountains, never to be seen again. A truly horrifying act from a master to an apprentice.

This betrayal led Yun to start a vengeful quest against all the bending masters and politicians who had lied to him about his Avatarhood. He was going to hunt down and brutally execute every single one.

Eventually this led him to cross paths with Avatar Kyoshi.

In his final battle, Yun returned to the city of Yokoya at the semi-abandoned Avatar mansion. Kyoshi, the true Avatar, and her friends confronted him. During the battle, Yun managed to injure many of Kyoshi's friends and even killed some of them. However, in the end, Kyoshi came face to face with Yun saying “I’m sorry you had to live with your pain…” Kyoshi put her palm to his chest in a gesture of comfort. “Because you won’t” The cold she sent through his body formed a tunnel of ice between his ribs. It happened so fast, and with so much force, the moisture in the air

behind him turned to frost. His back sprouted vaporous wings of crystal
that disappeared just as quickly.
With his heart and lungs frozen solid, Yun fell to the side.
Kyoshi took the hand with which she’d killed one of the two people
she’d loved and placed it against the wound of the other… after this she healed her other friend who had been injured in the confrontation… Contrasting her ability to swing between the most brutal of abilities, to the most noble… Using water to kill but also save…

Using the highly forbidden and frowned upon idea of bending the liquids inside someone to save another… Tell me if you think this was the right way to end Yun’s life. It’s certainly not an easy choice…

Kyoshi makes Aang and Korra ´s childhood seem so happy and joyable.

The earth kingdom doesn’t have a good track record of finding the avatar. I feel like this is going to happen again in the new Avatar series featuring an earth avatar that was announced. Also, Kyoshi bending the liquids in someone’s body would make her the first known blood bender.

I think Kyoshi is the only Avatar who really got the "maintain the peace no matter what". When Aang was trying to confront Ozai without killing him, the previos Avatar from the nomads of the air told him: "You must sacrifice your spiritual necesities for the world, that's your job". Kyoshi probably was advice the for the same one.

I think the brutality in the avatar franchise and universe is what makes it so good its really realistic

honestly thats one of the reasons i like the kyoshi books they actually go in depth into different bending ability's instead of just the same power or literal lasers

If bloodbending is using the water in our blood/bodies, you could entirely freeze people. Like standing popsicles! You could also freeze single organs as well, like if someone is chasing you….freeze some water in the muscles of their legs, incapacitating them. Freezing someone’s heart would be awesome, you could give your enemies a “brain freeze” as well!

She killed him because she thought if she let him live he would be continuously tortured by his past and might even continue to try to execute those who lied to him she thought by killing him he would obtain peace in death which he could no longer obtain in life I definitely wouldn’t say it was the best solution

Kyoshi have lived in pain all her life. Trying to kill those precious to her was a bad move by Yun and he probably got what's coming. Should've just stick with killing those who betrayed him.

dying from an internal frostbite is absolutely scary, imagine a waterbender doing this to their foe, that would be traumatic to witness, or a water/bloodbender just crushing the internal organs

I like it. It contrasts how Aang struggled with the idea of killing Ozai and how adamant he was that there are non-violent solutions when everyone around him, including previous avatars told him he has a forced hand.

1:58 the things you do to save your one true pair. Rangi and Kyoshi really were perfect for each other.

I love Kyoshi. I wish they made a movie or show about her

Kyoshi's decisiveness in both healing and in conflict is the main reason she was the G.O.A.T.

Honestly Kyoshi was a MENACE. She definitely was the strongest avatar to have lived in my eyes.

Still really think the next earth avatar should be a sand bender it would be so cool to see a final battle take place by a beach so they can use the water and sand for attacks and if they can possibly make glass from heating the sand
I just feel it could make the character so dynamic with a past of being one of the sand people/raiders then supposed to save the world

I like that these darker bending arts are being explored. Remember these are the most powerful people in the nations, they have otherworldly abilities. The reason Aang is so scary in his prime is because he’s a pacifist it’s his battle and struggle not to use the overwhelming power to get his way.

Power changes people and when you wield such power to change the very fabric of society that’s worth exploring in this medium.

I want it to go darker as that shows the depth of struggling to juggle such power with what people and the majority would deem too far or not far enough it’s a delicate balancing act

2:00 she wasnt just a "friend" it was confirmed that she liked both Rangi and Yun but in the end she loved Rangi (you can see her with kyoshi on 0:20) more

I think she froze him as a way of numbing him to spare him the pain from what she was doing. She's nobel.
