I think my favorite part is at 0:35 where Quasimodo subtly takes his hands away from underneath the bird and smiles directly at it. Kinda as a way of saying “look! See! Your flying all by yourself!” It’s so cute <33

Isn't it wonderful that this little bird (and probably animals in general) is not afraid of Quasimodo? This scene is so important because it shows how much Quasi seems to appreciate that animals don't see him as a monster but a living being.

This beautiful little scene always was so touching to me. I particularly love Tom Hulce's little chuckle with the bird. Quasimodo is my all-time favorite Disney character and this film is an absolute masterpiece. The music especially. I still get chills during the very beginning with the bells.

I love Quasimodo's relationship with the gargoyles! I love how he ignores all their shit. Hugo is being obnoxious as ever, Victor is being stuck-up, and Quasi's just like "Yep. This is normal."
