⚠ Antibiotics with the WORST Side Effects (Dangerous Antibiotics) Fluoroquinolones

preview_player
Показать описание
This class of powerful antibiotics (Fluoroquinolones) can have terrible health-effects, yet they are still commonly prescribed by primary care doctors for minor infections. Do the doctors not know or not care?? This dangerous class of antibiotics should only be used for life-threatening infections that can't be treated with another antibiotic.
Never take one of these antibiotics for a sinus infection, bronchitis, prostate infection, or a bladder infection.

I work in a pharmacy, in general, doctors don't tell the patients much. Many people come to pick up meds & have no idea why they were prescribed or what they're used for never mind side effects not explained. Most pharmacists explain more than the doctors do.

I’m an RN and realizing that I have been prescribed Cipro MANY MANY MANY TIMES over the past 15 years and I am now disabled. It has cost me my 20 year marriage. My husband thought I changed and was now lazy. I’m devastated and can barely walk.

Levaquin was a major contributor to my late wife's suicide. I've put every FDA warning on her website. Karen's Journal was part of the evidence in a 2015 FDA hearing about these antibiotics.

A few years ago I tried to get an alternative to Ciprofloxacin for my husband’s UTI. I was practically arguing w/ the nurse practitioner and she insisted that nothing else would work. That “for a man’ UTI, it’s the drug of choice”I finally agreed to it. I don’t remember why but it wasn’t working anyway! He had to switch to something else, (thank goodness!) I’m still not happy about the doses he did take because from what I had read even one dose can cause the damage that Dr. Berry was talking about. And also from what I’ve read, that damage is irreversible. Our FDA is EVIL! That drug should be pulled but certain people are making money so that’s not going to happen. 😡

Detached hamstrings, severed biceps, detached rotator cuffs. My injuries from this Rx. This drug class is outlawed in many other countries….why is it allowed here?

I will NEVER take antibiotics again. I went in for a lumpectomy March of 2022, I met with the surgeon and specifically told her to NOT TRY TO SLIP ANY PROPHYLACTIC ANTIBIOTIC in my IV. I told her that I would be tortured with diarrhea and I didn't need that on top of ulceritis colitis and recovering from a lumpectomy. I woke up from the lumpectomy and after being home for one hour I was in agony from intestinal pain. I called her office and told her, " You AGREED to NOT slip me any antibiotics and now I'm in agony!" She then tried to LIE claiming I must of " misunderstood ".

Husbands dr, wanted to prescribe Cipro for an unconfirmed Norovirus infection. Said absolutely not. He prescribed something else that we decided not to get filled. Never went back to him again.

My dad was given 2 pills in the hospital for a mild pneumonia. Developed pain in his legs, specifically his Achilles tendons. PT forced him to try to walk down the hallway, saying his pain was just from laying in bed for 4 days. He collapsed and they put him in a wheelchair. I heard nothing about the dangers of this drug until the pharmacist told me when I tried to fill his script. Stopped it immediately. Dad went to a bone and joint specialist, his Achilles tendons were almost ripped in half. He was put on bedrest with both with both feet in boots for months. He has never been the same, although we are thankful that he can still walk. Now I tell everyone I meet about this drug- no one knows!

I like how they blame it on the patient by saying "you must be allergic" when you report the horrible side effects. That's next-level evil.

I went in for my yearly visit to my urologist. They routinely took my urine sample. Few days later they called me and told me I had a UTI. They also asked me what my preferred pharmacy was so they could send in my prescription. They did not say anything else, no mention of what kind of drug, or how to use it. When I came in to get my prescription, I saw it was for CIPRO. I paid for it, and the pharmacist said: "Try and stay away from direct sunlight". That was it...At home I took a closer look at the paperwork. It came with 9 pages of potential negative, some severe, life threatening side effects. I refused to take CIPRO. My UTI cleared on its own after I drank lots of fluids...

I had two back-to-back courses of Cipro for UTI approximately 20 years ago, and was SHOCKED to see my eye color had changed from grey-blue to green. Then I noticed that I had lost flexibility in ALL of my joints, and learned that it was permanent. I had to close my massage practice because I just can't do it anymore. I'm also an RN, and have had several patients that are now permanently disabled due to tendon rupture and spontaneous muscle fracture.
After talking with my doctor about the adverse reactions I experienced, he said that the benefits outweigh the risks, but I still declined, and told him that HE isn't the one who would have to live with the consequences.

My mother was on dialysis for three years, got diagnosed with the flu, and instead of speaking with the dialysis doctor, she called her general practitioner and without thinking or maybe as a result of no adequate training, he prescribed powerful antibiotics and when she told the dialysis specialist about taking the antibiotics, he rushed her to the hospital and she died in three days! Evidently some doctors don’t know that antibiotics should NEVER be prescribed to a dialysis patient! Hopefully somehow more doctors will be informed about this!
