I just had ovarian cancer and just had surgery and found out when I came to, that they had to remove my uterus, fallopian tubes, ovaries, part of my pancreas, spleen, stomach apron. Now recovering and waiting to see chemo will get the rest.

My mom passed away exactly because of this. Her breast cancer didn't kill her, rather the cancerous cell spreads to her brain.
I miss you mom, every day.

I am praying, wishing and hoping none of my cancer cells spread 😢 I wish you all the best as well. We’ll get through this.

Every time I see these cadavers, I'm reminded that these were people who lived normal lives, just like us. These were people you might have seen at the grocery store or walking their dog. And not so long ago either. It makes you realize how short life is and to appreciate every day you're alive.

My early stage colo/rectal cancer would have killed me in a year or so, due to it's location.
But, because it was found early, I only needed surgery to cure me. (resulting in permanent colostomy) No chemo or radiation needed.
Every case is different and thankfully we have round tables of specialists discussing each individual case, combining many decades of knowledge.
I live in Australia and the only cost to cure me were the parking fees at the hospital.

I lost my mum through colon cancer.
She underwent 2 surgical operations in 3 years of fighting cancer. It ended up spreading to her liver. She fought so hard to survive😢...
I miss her so much!

I once heared somebody say that the cancer doesnt win when you die. I asked why, and he answered:"because the cancer dies with you. The cancer will never beat you. It will be a draw" that gave him strenght and i find that a pleasing thought as well❤

When cancer develops in an organ then blood can carry its cells anywhere throughout the body and nobody will be able to detect it until it’s big enough. Cancer is a terrible and devastating disease. God, give all affected lots of strength and energy to keep fighting for their lives 🙏

In 2010 i was diagnosed with severe Ulcerative Colitis.

In 2018 my esophogial variscies burst from pressure build up in my liver. I was rushed in the E.R. with a hemoglobin of 26. I was bleeding into my stomach.

My liver would go into failure in 2019 from PSC, which i would be rushed for an emergency Liver transplant.

Because of my Ulcerative Colitis i was told about my high risk of colorectal cancer and that my colon would eventually need to come out.

2020 i would get a collectomy.

2023 i went in and got my rectum removed.

Take care of your guts people...its almost killed me on multiple occasions.

Now im Ulcerative Colitis free and coming up on 6 years post transplant.

The problem in the USA is that health insurance promotes reactive action instead of proactive. By the time you feel something, it may be too late.

My dad has lung cancer ( adenocarcinoma left lung). He got metastasis cuz it started in the pleura then to the lung. He's treated right away with couple of chemos then, now oral chemo tablets, it's been 2 years and he's responding very well to the medicine and he doesn't even look like a cancer patient.
I hope he will be fine.😢

Scary thing is I no someone who I love, who had colon cancer, had surgery to remove it all, turns out that they left 1 tiny cell behind and now it’s spread to the liver, heart, kidney, spleen, clavicle and other places as well as being back in the colon. Was told normal chemo would kill faster than the cancer itself, so put the person on half dose tablets and readdress at a later stage, (this person is still waiting for full staging scan) but now looking at blood results the tablets might not be enough and now needs tablets and IV chemo too 😢 cancer is evil and I hate it x

My husband had rectal cancer, after removing the rectum, he had chemo and radiation. After his 6month check up, we found out it returned. He did chemo again, then had colostomy surgery, where they saw it moved to his bladder. Only option was to also remove the bladder.. But he couldnt take it anymore, but his kidneys gave in before the bladder cancer could take him.. It's a heart ripping thing to see him suffer like that.

My mom had small cell lung cancer, it went away and she went into remission but it came back, as the oncologist predicted. I remember in her last few months when we stopped her treatment, the cancer spread to the point she would have tumors all over her body. The one she had on her head was the hardest one for me to see. She didn’t deserve to leave earth that way, in so much pain.

Cancer runs heavily in my family and I’ve decided that, God forbid, if it ever happens to me, I will take my own life than go through the same suffering I saw my mom go through. The things I saw are something of nightmares. Fuck cancer. 😪
