Great video. I like how professional you are in your presentation. I get tired of all of the sloppiness and immaturity of so many of these videos. Thank you.

Thank you. I'm looking for something far enough from the water that I'd not have to worry about flooding during rainy season. A water view from a higher elevation would be great. Where dogs don't roam wildly about barking constantly.. Where ExPats would help me feel more at home and offer advice. I have a limited budget, but could get along with rent and living expenses for about $1K a month. I've been watching YouTubes and saw beautiful apts. it'd have to be safe for an older solo woman. Have I described somewhere that pops to mind? I can't ride a bike. I'd need public transportation, buses or cabs. Thank you for a lovely video. Justine in Connecticut.

This was awesome info, cheers Jeff! Currently researching for an upcoming trip — would you mind sharing what tour you went on for the Mezcal experience? Sounds right up my alley! Cheers

Owch! Oaxaca's culture and even the water supply is being decimated by tourism and the influx of foreigners. Locals who earn $9-10 a day can no longer afford rent, water is prioritized to hotels and in 2023 left some of the hospitals without water and local mom-and-pop stores have been turned into boutiques and espresso bars. Some restaurants turn away locals in favor of tourists who tip more generously. The century's old culture is being ripped apart by its own popularity. Please consider visiting places that can withstand tourism like Mexico City, Puebla, Cancún and Guadalajara.

Couple of suggestions. One, your background music is way too loud to concentrate on what you're actually saying. 2, why the hell are you wearing a mask?
