I'm from Oaxaca and grew up watching Gordon on TV. Never imagined he would be visiting and it is so nice.

Don't let Jorge's (the mole guy's) rustic, humble appearance fool you: he's worked with Enrique Olvera at Mexico City's Pujol -- currently ranked #5 on the list of the World's Top 50 greatest restaurants. His restaurant "Alfonsina" is named for his grandmother.

I’m from Mexico and I had no idea how complicated making a mole is. I loved how Gordon is so humble and very respectful.

Mexico is a mini universe, it has 32 states and each one has its own food, music, clothing, etc. The taco is a small part. Mexican cuisine is impressive

I’m so proud to be Mexican and Oaxacan. Mole is precious to us. Something that ties us to our indigenous roots. Something that shows our family our love.

As a northerner from Mexico, I haven´t had the opportunity to try the real southern mexican food other than Puebla´s and Mexico City´s. Seeing this from Gordon is hugely humbling and I feel honored about the fact that our cuisine gets this international recognition.
