During the auto-sum presentation, when you changed the year 2008 to read CY2008, Excel automatically updates the sum. You don't have to auto-sum again. Check your own work at 1:33-1:36.

Nice overview. One other thing worth mentioning, you can trigger these sums quickly using the keyboard shortcuts: [Windows: Alt + =] [Mac: Cmd + Shift + T].

I would like to =SUM a set of custom numbers expressed as 0+00. i.e. =SUM 0+11, 1+12, 0+24. I would like excel to =SUM these as 1+47. Is this possible? Thanks.
