If you are talking about the trend line, I think you can right click it and select format trend line. Click option then check set intercept and type 0. If you want the x-value to be 0, then just enter that into your data. Hope this answers yours question, I'm a tech noob myself.

If I want my chart to only show 250, 000 to 500, 000 and only 3 to 6, how do I do that? what do I have to do to remove the data from the chart I don't want to show?

Except excel isn't defaulting to a Vs. graph. It's defaulting to creating a line for each column.
