How to Select Rows and Columns in Excel with Mac Keyboard Shortcut

Показать описание
Adding or deleting rows and widening columns in Excel all begin the same way—by selecting an entire row or column. Luckily for every Excel user ever, there are keyboard shortcuts to help you achieve this very simple (yet essential) goal. Simply highlight any cell within the row or column you’d like to work with. To select an entire column: Ctrl + Spacebar. To select an entire row: Shift + Spacebar.

SOLUTION if selecting a column does not work.

The Control+Spacebar combo has been hijacked to Select the previous Input Source & Control+Option+Spacebar has been mapped to Select next source in Input menu.
To make the change if you do have more than one Input Source specified just:

go to Apple>System Preferences> Keyboard> Shortcuts,
select Input Sources in the left column
clear the check(s) to disable what you don't want or
assign a different combo if you want the capability
