Sometimes our go-to ways of self-soothing or self-caring just aren't as effective as we need them to be.

When this happens, it's frustrating and sometimes even upsetting!

We need to have a variety of tools in our self-care toolbox, specifically ways to self-soothe when we are triggered, overwhelmed, stressed, or anxious.

But even when we're extremely prepared, we need to be prepared to go a step further if/when we aren't able to self-care or self-soothe ourselves effectively through times of stress and overwhelm. We need to understand that when we aren't able to soothe ourselves the way we need...that means we NEED SUPPORT.

Being human means needing community or support sometimes.
