I have both this and the M50. The M50 comes with me when I travel and for Youtube, the M100 when I bike. Lens choice? The kit lens is pretty good for most situations. The 22mm and 32mm EF-M is great but Sigma lenses and Canon EF-S and EF lenses makes both M100 and M50 a work horse for photography or video.

I have this camera, , its best bang for your dollar. I think it even has a little better dynamic range than the M50...And i liked it so much that i got a Speed booster for it, and with the booster, photos looks just like a Full Frame !

I bought this last year and couldn't be happier! I used to have big expensive DSLR's and the camera bag was soo heavy I ended up leaving it half the time.

I dont think the M100 has the same sensor as in 80D. I just sold it because the image was noisy even at 100 ISO and bright daylight. The sensor is of lower quality. I switched to Sony because of that and particular because of the focus shift issue in kit lens when using lower apertures. Sony A6100 changes aperture in real time as if u have manual aperture ring whereas this canon kit lens rely on bigger aperture when focusing than shift to ur set aperture which effects the focus.
My advise: don't buy it if you are critical about image sharpness.

I have this but currently selling this as I prefer the g7x mark 2. It's a good little camera but you need to be a good photographer for it while the g7x is easier to use. It's still a great camera

In my opinion, you could just use a lavalier mic and connect it to your phone and do an recording via your phone's sound recorder.
One hack that I do is create a sound cue (ex. clap) near the beginning of the recording so it'll easier to sync in the audio 😂

Cool vid, i'm planning on getting this, however I can't seem to understand what the battery life for recording videos is. Some mention 80mins (CIPA standards, whatever this means) while others got it to 125 mins. So what's the correct battery life for videos?
