Just a quick review of the Canon M100. Is it a competent light travel camera or a useless piece of trash? Spoilers, it's not trash.

That was one of the best reviews ive ever who actually reviews a product for what it is and not for what it isn't.I've been looking at this camera for a while and this has just helped me make my mind up.Cheers for a great review.

When I first saw the tilt screen I thought: "The tilt screen looks great for waist level shooting, but won't help you overhead"... just turn it upside down! Brilliant! Thanks!

Thank you. I got this camera as a birthday gift 2 years ago and never used it much. Now I am going to maximize this pretty camera. I just love capturing moments.

Thank you for this video! I actually am planning to buy and gift myself a value for money camera because I love taking photos casually. I enjoyed your vlog, it's like I'm talking with you personally. So natural. 😊👌🏼❤️

Great video, really appreciate the grip link. You solidified this as my next step for just a no-nonsense travel cam.

I have Canon M50 and bought my fiance the Canon M100. I returned the M50 and will be using the M100 as well. Its just smaller and more compact and fits my use. thanks for the review

I know nothing about cameras or photography, I just wanted a review about the m100, your style of review was excellent. It covered all the simple things I wanted to know. Thank you.

I actually bought an EOS M100 kit a year or 2 ago with lens for taking nature photos as a hobby but I did buy a EF-M 55-250mm lens for taking photos birds and nighttime photos it does what I need it to.

Thank you so much for the review and grip recommendation. I’ve been searching for a grip for my M200 for more than 2 years!

Amateur hobbyist here. I love my m100. I grew up using DSLRs and was used to that entire system/style so the switch was weird at first but the lack of viewfinder is really not a big deal. I do use mine mainly for street photography and hiking/plant pics so I don't *need* the viewfinder.

Love your review. I have an EOS R, but it's way to heavy when I travel around. This seems like a good option, and it's not expensive.
Also worth mentioning, going from DSLR to mirrorless, lens calibration is not needed with a mirrorless camera. This is because mirrorless cameras do not use an autofocus chip. Instead, the camera's sensor does both the focusing and the imaging, so there is no room for miscommunication.
I.e. you will get the maximum sharpness from all your lenses.

Just purchased an M200 and was looking for workarounds to the no-grip, tiny camera scenario. It would be my first "real" camera (had purchased a 2012 point and shoot for party photos and such, wanted something small and portable for more everyday carry-around shooting), and I couldn't justify jumping to the M50 when I found the M200 for $300 off retail BEFORE tax! THANK you for simply existing in my eager browsethrough I do when I'm waiting for anything expensive and fun to ship and linking your camera grip!

I have the same setup, the 6D for planned/professional shootings and the M100 for street/travel. Can't be happier about it. I will get the grip tho.

I bought the m100 back in 2019, took it to travel all over the world and back. Best little camera to have in your jacket pocket and on the go anywhere.

Can you use the 24mm pancake lens for this camera?
