Why Does God Allow Evil?

God wants those who use their free will to reject sin and love Him. In other words, God wants us to willingly choose to love Him.

Whether we chose to love God or choose to reject Him, God respects our ability to choose- never taking it away from us.

This is one of the reasons as to why God allows Satan and evil to exist in our world. God didn't create evil, but rather permits it to exist in order to preserve our free will. Regardless of the destruction and pain sin brings, much of it being caused by our very actions, we still have the ability to return to Christ and renounce Satan- choosing to love God and neighbor.

Will we reject God or reject evil?

Free choice means no punishment otherwise it is not a free choice!

You are my favorite theologian Dr. Bergsma! Can’t wait until you’re on Pints with Aquinas again.

So many people chose evils instead of the merciful God!

He allows it because he doesn't care.

Information that circulates in the world is being manipulated by the powerful, what's presented as the "right" to all, can be the "wrong" to others ....

How do you love someone when you realize he will hurt all of your friends

We will have free will in heaven, even tho we won't do anything evil. Same goes for the Immaculate Virgin Mary, she had free will but was saved from sinning. Then why evil is necessary for free will?

God created evil as it says in Isaiah. God created everything.

If God is all knowing and all powerful as the Bible states, then free will is non existent. By being all knowing, God saw everything that would happen the minute he created humanity. He saw every decision every human would make under the specific circumstances in which he made the universe. So he saw everyone's future sins. By choosing to make the universe in the way he did knowing every action that would occur, that means you didn't choose to accept god. It was predetermined. He would know the exact conditions you'd be born into and the impacts that would have on your belief. If I set a baby on the edge of a cliff, knowing with 100% certainty it will crawl off the edge and die, I'd be guilty of killing that baby by placing it into a situation where there was no other option but to go off the cliff. I'm astounded with the amount of bs you have to tell yourself to believe in an imaginary friend and afterlife.
