To think less of yourself and to choose a partner that treats you as less than who you are, cannot lead to a healthy relationship, in the same way that thinking too highly of yourself and being unrealisticly picky about who deserves to be with you, will either. Have a grounded understanding of who you are and lean into your natural attraction towards the qualities in others that complement you well.

Does it make sense to settle for somethin' that deep down you know you don't want to accept? I think not, i certainly don't start a relationship knowing that i have to settle for somethin'that i don't want. Being single and alone isn't so bad if you feel good about yourself. I think it's better to stay single than to get into a relationship just to not be alone, obviously it's just my opinion.

Too much emphasis is placed on romance. Not every one meets their soulmate, and too many compare what is in front of them to a pre-made schematic of what they "want". People are not cars, or houses, that come with all the options on a tick list. We have commodified relationships to the point where nobody is seen, because we are to busy looking at our own desires.
